Hi, I’m Danae Goldsmith, a Registered Generalist Psychologist based at Melbourne CBD Psychology in the beautiful Exchange Tower. My path into psychology started in the world of high-performance gymnastics coaching — helping people achieve their best both in sport and in life has always been my passion. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a real conversation: warm, open, and collaborative. My role is to create a safe space where you can share what’s on your mind, explore new perspectives, and build the tools you need to move forward. I hold a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Psychology and a Masters of Applied Psychology (Sport Psychology) from Victoria University. Over the years, I’ve worked with people from all walks of life — in private practice, telehealth, residential detox, supported accommodation, forensic intellectual disability services, and Employee Assistance Programs (EAP). I help clients with a wide range of concerns, including: - Feeling low, stressed, or anxious - Trauma and recovery - Relationship and communication challenges - Addiction and recovery support - Emotional regulation and resilience - Performance and motivation in sport, work, or study Every person is different, so I draw on a variety of evidence-based approaches — like Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Schema Therapy, EMDR, and strengths-based strategies — to match your needs and preferences.
